What we are looking for?

A hands‑on Data Architect who can understand, maintain, and evolve existing data models, design target‑state architecture on Azure + Databricks, and ensure accurate, trusted KPIs at the visualization layer. The role spans data architecture & governance, dbt‑based transformations, and Power BI semantic modeling, with the ability to trace and fix issues end‑to‑end—from raw data to dashboards. Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud (Genie) is preferred, along with hospitality domain understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Define target‑state data architecture on Azure (ADLS Gen2, Databricks/Delta Lake, ADF/Azure Data Factory/Synapse as applicable), adopting Medallion (Bronze/Silver/Gold) patterns and Unity Catalog (or equivalent) for governance.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain dbt models across staging → intermediate → marts; enforce tests (unique, not‑null, relationships) and documentation/lineage.
• Investigate and fix data‑quality issues by tracing logic through dbt layers and upstream pipelines; implement automated validations and data contracts.
• Ensure KPI logic is owned at the right layer (warehouse/dbt first; DAX only where appropriate) and remains consistent across products.

3) BI Alignment (Power BI)

• Define and govern Power BI semantic datasets, relationships, and DAX measures; implement Row‑Level Security (RLS) and dataset governance.
• Collaborate on patterns for Salesforce Data Cloud (Genie) integration—ingest, identity resolution, consent/activation alignment—and map Genie entities to the enterprise semantic model.
• When a metric looks wrong, trace issues across Power BI → semantic model → dbt marts → intermediate → staging → source systems; fix at the correct layer and add tests to prevent regressions.
