Job summary

Ventula Consulting is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines feeding Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on Azure data services, cloud infrastructure, and secure, scalable data processing.

You will work in a hybrid setup with 2-3 days in Zeeland and remaining remote, collaborating with stakeholders to shape data architecture for clients.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with the Azure data stack (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric) and Docker.
• Familiarity with modern data tooling (Airflow, Dagster, Spark, Flink, Terraform, and similar).
• Fluent in Dutch or Flemish and English.

Global consulting client now requires an Azure Data Engineer to build and maintain the pipelines and integrations that keep our client's Azure ecosystem scalable, reliable and secure.

This role will implement foundational data systems and develop cloud infrastructure to store, transform, and process data at scale.

The role:

• Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines feeding Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and provision cloud infrastructure on Azure, with security, reliability, and growth in mind.
• Containerize and deploy workloads using Docker.
• Work within architecture set by the Data Governance Board, guided by the Data Platform Lead.
• Communicate design decisions clearly and help client stakeholders make confident data decisions.

Key Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with the Azure data stack (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric) and Docker.
• Comfort moving between scripting and structured, typed programming languages.
• Familiarity with modern data tooling (Airflow, Dagster, Spark, Flink, Terraform, and similar).
• A collaborative mindset: you like sharing knowledge and taking ownership.
• ESSENTIAL: Fluent in Dutch or Flemish and English.
