Job summary

Ventula Consulting in the Netherlands is seeking an Analytics Engineer to join a high-performing data team at the intersection of data and software engineering. You will transform raw data into clean, tested datasets, building ELT pipelines and maintaining documentation to ensure a trusted data language across the business.

Responsibilities include developing reliable data models, creating dashboards, and applying software engineering practices such as version control, testing, and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Proven SQL and Python/R skills are required.
• Excellent communicator with drive to innovate and share knowledge.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, Snowflake) is required.
• Familiarity with a BI tool (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Mode) is required.
• Strong experience with Azure cloud platforms and Git.
• Solid grasp of data modeling principles.
• Fluent in Dutch or Flemish and English is ESSENTIAL.
• dbt experience is desirable.

• Model raw data into reliable, reusable datasets for analysts and stakeholders.
• Build transformation pipelines (clean, aggregate, join, and filter data) within an ELT workflow.
• Maintain clear documentation so everyone speaks the same data language.
• Define and uphold data quality standards and metrics.
• Apply software engineering best practices — version control, testing, CI/CD — to analytics work.
• Build reports, dashboards and visualizations to bring data to life.

Key Requirements:

• Strong SQL and Python/R skills.

In terms of working structure, this is hybrid with 2-3 days per week in our clients Zeeland office (commutable from Antwerp & Rotterdam) and the rest remote.
