Job summary

Arrows is a Microsoft data and AI consultancy looking for a leader who can own engagements from requirement gathering to hands-on delivery. You will shape solutions, manage client relationships, and drive the delivery of data and BI initiatives using the Microsoft Fabric stack.

You'll work in a small team where your input changes outcomes, with remote work supported and occasional travel to client sites within the Netherlands.

Two things that aren't negotiable

• You already live in the Netherlands and hold the right to work there. This isn't a relocation role.
• Business-fluent Dutch. Client conversations happen in Dutch.

My client is a specialist Microsoft data and AI consultancy - small, growing, and working at the harder end of data problems for clients across a spread of industries.

What makes this one worth a conversation is who you'd be learning from. The people leading the analytics practice hold Microsoft's highest tier of community recognition, and that runs through the wider business as well. If you're building a name in the Microsoft data ecosystem, that kind of proximity is hard to find and impossible to buy.

You'd lead engagements rather than sit behind someone else doing it: shaping the solution, running the requirements conversations yourself, owning the client relationship and doing the hands‑on build. Small enough team that your opinion actually changes things.

Core stack

• Microsoft Fabric across the platform — lakehouse and warehouse workloads, pipelines, notebooks, low-code dataflows
• OneLake, Delta Lake, medallion architecture
• Spark and Python for transformation
• Power BI, with proper dimensional modelling underneath it
• High-performance SQL across Fabric and other engines

Useful, not essential

Real-time and streaming work · Databricks or other Spark platforms · Infrastructure as code · Data governance tooling

What they're after

Strong ETL/ELT fundamentals and a genuine feel for data quality and pipeline resilience. Solid modelling. Code that's clean and testable. Agile delivery experience. And because half this job is consulting, the ability to hold a room — draw requirements out of people, manage expectations, and explain a technical decision to someone non-technical without losing them.

Package

€5,000–6,500 per month depending on experience, plus pension, benefits and equipment in line with local regulations. Fully remote, with occasional travel to client sites within the Netherlands.
