Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Senior Data Center Operations Manager in the Netherlands to lead facility technical strategy and continuous improvement. You will oversee mechanical/electrical systems, safety compliance, and DCIM platforms, while directing teams for preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure 24/7/365 uptime.

You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager on daily site operations, own strategic projects, and drive cost control, safety, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Five or more years workplace or professional equivalent experience.
• Five or more years people leadership experience.
• Bachelor''s degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, Military Schooling, or professional equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility policies and organizational structure per senior management and corporate policy while ensuring no contradictions with regulations.
• Develop and maintain efficient maintenance operations ensuring 100% uptime of mechanical, electrical, life safety, monitoring, and control systems.
• Develop emergency response planning, response management and incident reporting for all mechanical, electrical, associated controls and plumbing systems.
• Direct short-term and long-range business plans to meet profitability and growth objectives and set operating standards.
• Manage site cleanliness and preservation operations and oversee capital budgeting.
• Oversee budget to ensure compliance with expenditure requirements; coordinate with other teams to deploy and maintain customer environments.
• Conduct sales and customer tours and audits.
• Ensure proactive delivery of corporate services, power services, headcount projections, and business continuity planning.
• Negotiate project contracts for improvements on leased and owned real estate.
• Coordinate with SMEs to resolve operational problems and approve major estimates.
• Benchmark systems performance to improve operational programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Ensure licenses, permits and certifications are current.
