Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Critical Environment Engineer to support the engineering team in planning, installation, and integration of electrical and mechanical systems within our data center portfolio. You will help ensure uptime, compliance, and seamless customer move-ins across multiple facilities.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in technical/critical environments, strong HVAC and electrical knowledge, and the ability to travel 10–25%. Dutch and English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of direct engineering experience in a technical or critical environment (data center, hospital, pharma, etc).
• Bachelor’s degree or HBO level in HVAC/critical power or equivalent.
• Travel to other data center locations 10–25% of the time. Dutch and English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for 24x7 data center operations to achieve uptime and SLA compliance.
• Assist in site construction activities and installations with internal/external teams.
• Witness equipment testing during commissioning and validate documentation.
• Coordinate site technical solutions for customer move-ins and turn-ups with Sales Engineering and Construction.
• Support local SOPs, audits, and compliance initiatives.
