Job summary

PRS seeks an experienced Data Centre Engineering Manager to own technical performance, reliability, and continuous improvement for a major data centre in the Netherlands. You will lead electrical and mechanical infrastructure, DCIM, Fire & Life Safety, and maintenance across 24/7 operations.

You will manage teams, vendors, and budgets while driving energy efficiency and operational excellence, reporting to senior stakeholders and ensuring safety and uptime.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience within a data centre or comparable critical environment.
• 5+ years' proven people-management experience.
• Strong understanding of critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical operations of a mission-critical data centre.
• Provide leadership across electrical, mechanical, controls, DCIM and Fire & Life Safety systems.
• Develop and coach Critical Operations/Engineering teams and contractors.
• Own maintenance strategies across critical infrastructure.
• Develop robust maintenance governance and SOPs.
• Ensure maximum availability and resilience of critical infrastructure.
• Lead emergency response planning and incident reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and engineering best practice.
• Analyze KPIs to identify improvements.
• Manage operational and capital expenditure budgets.
• Support capital projects and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer environments.
• Lead customer tours, technical audits and reviews.
• Manage maintenance partners and service agreements.
