Job summary

Salute is seeking a Senior Data Centre Facilities Engineer in Amsterdam to oversee electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems, ensuring uptime for mission-critical services. The role requires hands-on maintenance, vendor coordination, and strong communication across teams.

Responsibilities include planning maintenance, testing, and documenting work with contractors, while driving energy efficiency and cost savings. Dutch and English skills are essential; 3-shift pattern incl.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems in datacenter environments.
• Excellent communication to lead teams and coordinate with peers.
• Strong prioritization and time management.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Manage SLAs toward customers to achieve 99.999% uptime.
• Ensure safe, effective planned maintenance with contractor resources.
• Inform Manager of Operations about planned and corrective work.
• Plan and implement customer-requested work with timely updates.
• Prepare detailed procedures for approved electrical installations.
• Organize testing of mission-critical equipment on site.
• Log all contractor work and ensure adherence to procedures.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies during shifts.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Improve energy efficiency without affecting uptime.
