Job summary

Rotork seeks an Inside Sales & Contracts Engineer to translate customer purchase orders into sales orders in our ERP system, generate quotes, and manage follow‑ups. You will be the primary customer contact for order status, pricing, and delivery coordination, coordinating with engineering, supply chain, production and finance to resolve questions quickly.

The Inside Sales & Contracts Engineer translates customer purchase orders into sales orders within the ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely order entry. The engineer prepares and issues customer quotations, manages follow‑up activities, and serves as the main point of contact for customers regarding order status, pricing, delivery schedules, and general inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately review and translate customer purchase orders into sales orders within the ERP system, ensuring completeness and compliance with commercial terms.
• Process sales orders in a timely manner, coordinating with internal teams (engineering, supply chain, production, finance) to resolve discrepancies or clarifications.
• Prepare, issue, and track customer quotations in line with pricing policies, contract terms, and delivery commitments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding order status, pricing, delivery schedules, documentation, and general commercial inquiries.
• Manage order changes, amendments, and cancellations, ensuring correct system updates and clear communication with stakeholders.
• Proactively follow up on quotations, open orders, and customer requests to support order conversion and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in order management and sales administration processes.

Experience Required

• Commercial or technical background enabling understanding of product specifications, pricing structures, and contractual terms.
• Mechanical engineering degree is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required; knowledge of Dutch or German is a plus.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical systems—including valves, actuators, and gearboxes—is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Microsoft Office package skills—mainly Word and Excel.
• Experience with contract management software.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Knowledge of sales processes and contract management.
• Understanding of basic legal terminology related to contracts.
