Specialising in the design and construction of data centres, the company offers integrated services spanning civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines, including full commissioning.
With a proven track record in delivering high-performance facilities, they are currently managing multiple large-scale data centre projects across the continent, representing over 500MW of IT load in progress.
Position Summary
An experienced Mechanical Construction Manager is required to join the project delivery team in Amsterdam. The successful candidate will take ownership of mechanical packages on a large-scale data centre development, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective execution of mechanical construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee client-facing communications for mechanical construction activities.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments in line with project and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with the wider project team to schedule and sequence pipework installation and HVAC systems.
- Commercially assess the project at handover stage and support full technical procurement of equipment, sub-contractors, and suppliers.
- Assist in documenting and costing variations to work scopes; support monthly valuations and final accounts.
- Lead the development of the two-week lookahead schedule in collaboration with the broader project team.
- Ensure labour resources align with project programme requirements.
- Maintain high quality standards and manage subcontractor performance.
- Report and escalate variations, delays, or risks to project management.
- Validate that all plant and materials delivered to site meet specified requirements and are securely stored.
Compliance & Site Management
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards across site operations.
- Promote a strong safety culture among subcontractors; identify opportunities to improve site safety.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the site.
- Support the development and implementation of company procedures with package managers.
- Effectively manage change (cost and programme impact) within the mechanical scope.
Qualifications & Experience
- A relevant mechanical qualification is essential (e.g. BEng Mechanical Engineering, HNC/HND, NVQ, City & Guilds).
- Proven experience in a similar mechanical management role within a construction or M&E contracting environment.
- Experience on data centre or high-tech industrial projects is a strong advantage.

- Ability to lead teams and subcontractors to meet tight programme and quality demands.
