Job summary

Ascended Lightworkers in Amsterdam seeks a motivated Community & Events Manager Intern to help grow our global network of Lightworkers and clients. You will design and execute initiatives to foster engagement, manage online and in-person events, and collaborate with the founder and the digital team to promote activities.

This internship lasts 6 months, based at our de Pijp HQ with optional remote work up to twice a week; you should have your own laptop and be eligible as a HBO/WO Bachelor

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an HBO or WO Bachelor in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
• Strong interest in events, outreach, and community growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop a community engagement strategy to connect members.
• Create and manage online and in-person events calendar.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate events with internal teams.
• Collaborate with Lightworkers to run themed activities and challenges.
• Promote events via social media, email, and partnerships.
• Handle event invitations, RSVPs, reminders and follow-ups.
• Collect feedback and analyze data to improve future events.
• Track engagement metrics and report results.

About the Role

As aCommunity & Events Manager Internat Ascended Lightworkers, you will help build, engage, and nurture our global community. Working alongside the founder, you will design and execute initiatives that strengthen member connections, create memorable experiences, and grow our active network of Lightworkers and clients. From online gatherings to in-person events, you’ll be at the heart of our community’s growth and vibrancy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a community engagement strategy to foster meaningful connections among members.
• Create and manage the Events Calendar (online and in-person)
• Plan, organize and coordinate online and in-person events
• Collaborate with Lightworkers to create themed community activities and challenges.
• Collaborate with the Digital Team to promote events through social media, email marketing, and partnerships.
• Manage event logistics — invitations, RSVPs, reminders, and follow-ups.
• Collect and analyse feedback from community members to improve future events.
• Track community engagement metrics and report on results.

Performance Metrics

• Event attendance vs objective
• Lead generation (how many new contacts)
• Conversion to clients
• Feedback ratings from events

Your profile

• You are an HBO or WO Bachelor student in Business, Marketing, Communications, or any relevant study program
• You are fluent in English
• You are eager to learn, take initiative and come up with your own ideas (must)
• You love organising events and building communities (must)
• You are interested in personal development, meditation, manifestation etc (bonus)
• You will get real-life experience in building a tech startup from the ground up, take responsibility for your scope and make an impact.
• Be part of a young, ambitious, talented team
• You will get access to all the necessary tools for your work

Practical Information

• The duration of the internship is 6 months
• You primarily work from our headquarters in de Pijp, Amsterdam, with the possibility to work also remotely up to twice per week
• You should bring your own laptop
