Job summary

X4 Life Sciences is seeking an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join their Southern Netherlands team, focusing on installing and commissioning automated lines across Europe. You will perform testing, tune performance, and handle Siemens PLC programming (TIA Portal) on-site at customer locations.

You’ll train operators, troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems, and ensure clean handover to after-sales. A permanent role with travel and comprehensive on-site support awaits.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Willingness to travel ~80% across Europe.
Fluent English; German essential.
Driving licence and access to southern Netherlands.

Responsibilities

Install and commission automated lines at customer sites across Europe.
Test and fine-tune machines to meet performance targets.
Make on-site PLC programming changes (Siemens TIA Portal) as needed.
Diagnose and fix electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults.
Train customer operators and maintenance teams on new equipment.
Handover projects cleanly to after-sales service team.
