Job summary

Waste Treatment Technologies Netherlands B.V. is seeking an Automation Engineer – Siemens PLC & SCADA to join a specialised engineering team.

You will develop and maintain a standardised automation platform for complete industrial plants, from engineering and software development to testing, commissioning and ongoing customer support. Approximately 15% of your time is dedicated to international travel for commissioning and on-site support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
Experience as Automation Engineer, PLC Programmer or in a similar role.
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
Good command of Dutch and English.
Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and support.
Experience with WinCC Unified or other SCADA platforms is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop PLC and SCADA software using Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC Unified.
Configure, test and validate industrial automation systems.
Translate process descriptions and P&IDs into robust PLC logic.
Perform FAT and SAT.
Commission new plants internationally.
Support customers during start-up and production.
Analyze field experience to improve the standard automation platform.
Contribute to development and standardisation of software and engineering processes.
Collaborate with suppliers and external partners as needed.
Troubleshoot and optimize existing installations.
