Job summary

AME (Applied Micro Electronics) in Eindhoven is seeking a CNC Operator to produce high-precision components in a multidisciplinary manufacturing environment. You will operate and set up CNC machines across 5-axis milling, EDM, and grinding, ensuring parts meet tight tolerances.

You’ll read drawings, prepare tools and programs, inspect finished parts, and collaborate with CAM programmers. A hands-on, independent mindset and strong English are required in our dynamic, international team.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machining and milling, grinding and/or drilling.

Job description

At AME, we develop and manufacture innovative, high-quality products by combining electronics, mechanics, software, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

As a CNC Operator, you are responsible for producing high-precision components and tooling within our mechanical manufacturing environment. You work with a modern CNC machine park and ensure that parts are machined accurately according to technical drawings, specifications, and required tolerances.

What you’ll do

• Operate and set up CNC machines, including 5-axis simultaneous milling, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM), Wire EDM, and precision grinding.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, including dimensions, shapes, and tolerances.
• Prepare machines, tools, and programs for production.
• Check machined parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Identify when adjustments or additions to CNC programs are required and discuss these with the CAM programmer.
• Perform daily maintenance on machines and tools to ensure a safe and reliable working environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of machining processes and ways of working.

Who are you?

• MBO-level vocational education or equivalent working experience.
• Experience with CNC machining and machining operations, preferably milling, grinding, and/or drilling.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Accurate and quality-focused, with an eye for detail and precision.
• Practical and hands-on, with a willingness to work with different machining technologies.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Work with modern CNC machinery and high-precision manufacturing technologies.
• Contribute to the production of components and tooling for innovative high-tech products.
