voco The Hague zoekt Commis Chefs die willen leren, ontwikkelen en deel uitmaken van een bruisend keukenteam in Den Haag. Of je nu part-time bent voor enkele shifts of volledig wilt werken, dit is jouw kans om passie voor eten en hospitality om te zetten in iets bijzonders.

Je assisteert bij ontbijtbereiding, zet de ontbijtbuffet op en werkt volgens receptkaarten. Je leert technieken van ervaren chefs, houdt mise en place voorservice, waarborgt hygiëne en werkt samen met F&B-team.

Qualifications

• Vereiste: MBO-Algemeen niveau.
• Goede beheersing van het Nederlands (mondeling en schriftelijk).
• Bereidheid om ontbijtservice te ondersteunen en keukentaken te leren.

Responsibilities

• Ondersteunen van het keukenteam bij de bereiding en presentatie van ontbijtgerechten.
• Assisteren bij het opzetten en bijhouden van het ontbijtbuffet met het F&B-team.
• Volgen van receptkaarten en instructies van senior-chefs.
• Zorgen voor mise en place en voorbereiding van ingrediënten.
• Schoonhouden en opruimen van de keuken tijdens de service.
• Uitvoeren van basistaken en leren van technieken van ervaren chefs.
• Effectieve communicatie met collega’s voor een soepele keukenoperatie.
• Veilig gebruik van keukenapparatuur en netheid van gereedschap.
• Werken volgens HACCP-voorschriften.
• Ondersteunen bij de lunchvoorbereidingen indien nodig.
• Flexibel en bereid tot ad-hoc taken; teamwork is essentieel.

Are you ready to land this job?

• Support the kitchen team in preparing and presenting breakfast dishes.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining the breakfast buffet together with the F&B team.
• Follow recipe cards and instructions from senior chefs to prepare dishes consistently.
• Ensure all ingredients are prepped and ready for service (mise en place).
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly during service.
• Handle basic cooking tasks and learn new techniques from experienced chefs.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Use kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness of all tools and workspaces.
• Work according to food safety procedures in compliance with HACCP standards.
• Support the team with lunch preparations for co-hosts when required.
