voco The Hague zoekt een parttime gastvrouw/gastheer die bij Botanica en Ultramarijn gasten verwelkomt, bestellingen noteert en proactief advies geeft. Je werkt samen met mixologists, chefs en barista’s en vertaalt hun toewijding naar een onvergetelijke tafelervaring.

Je hebt passie voor hospitality, ervaring in een F&B-rol in een hotel of restaurant, uitstekende organisatorische vaardigheden en een proactieve houding. Engels is vereist, Nederlands is een pre.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality.
• Experience in a F&B operations role binnen een hotel of restaurant.
• Sterke organisatorische vaardigheden.
• Pro‑actieve houding en oog voor detail met natuurlijke drang tot continue verbetering.
• Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in Engels en bij voorkeur ook in het Nederlands; extra talen een plus.
• Een echte teamspeler met flexibele instelling.

Responsibilities

• Being a true host to the guests of Botanica en Ultramarijn in alle serviceperioden, met jouw persoonlijke touch.
• Correct gebruik en zorg voor alle gereedschappen en apparatuur in de werkplek.
• Cash, creditcard en kamerchargebetalingen afhandelen en kas afsluiten aan het eind van shift.
• Veiligheid naleven en unsafe situaties melden bij supervisor.
• Stimuleren van een uitzonderlijke gastenervaring door vragen en advies te geven.
• Samenwerking en communicatie met andere teams voor een vlekkeloze service.

Your Day to Day

At voco® The Hague we believe that ‘at the heart of every stay is a great host’ and in this job you are at heart of every food & beverage experience in the hotel. Whether you serve guests during breakfast, take their dinner order, or recommend a signature cocktail you always take the time to understand what our guests need to make their experience memorable. In your job you collaborate with mixologists, chefs, and barista’s and it is your responsibility to translate their hard work onto the table of the guest. At the end of the day you leave the hotel fulfilled and smiling because the guests left smiling too.

You are responsible for

• Being a true host to the guests of Botanica and Ultramarijn in all serving periods while adding your personal touch to every service touchpoint.

• The correct usage and care of all the different tools and equipment in the workplace

• Handling cash, credit card and room charge payments and closing the cashier at the end of your shift.

• Helping create a safe environment for yourself, guests, and your colleagues by following our safety procedures and informing your supervisor on unsafe situations.

• A proactive attitude towards anything that can make the experience of a guest better.

• Meeting local cleanliness and hygiene laws, you only accept a spotless work environment.

• Occasionally assist the kitchen and stewarding in food preparation and dishwashing.

• Give guests an unforgettable experience by helping with any queries or advice since you are knowledgeable about all that we offer. And where applicable you give personal recommendations on all that The Hague has to offer.

• Enhancing the culinary experience of our guests through suggestive sales.

• Living Botanica, Ultramarijn and the voco™ brand with pride, passion & energy. And you inspire others to deliver memorable branded guest experiences.

• Developing awareness and the reputationofvoco® The Hague,Ultramarijn&Botanica in the local community.

• Promoting teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.

• Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.

Did you bring everything?

• Available for 24 to 38 hours

• Passion for hospitality.

• Experience in a F&B operations role within a hotel or restaurant.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Pro‑active attitude and eye for detail with a natural drive for continuous improvement.

• A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence to consistently deliver and demonstrate voco™ service standards to our voco™ guests.

• A true “team-player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.

• Excellent communication skills in English and preferably also in Dutch.Another language is always a plus.
