Job summary

AXA XL in Amsterdam is seeking a Client Distribution Lead for the Benelux region, with emphasis on Belgium and the Netherlands. The role is hybrid and involves managing and expanding client and broker relationships, driving profitable growth, and aligning capabilities with client risk strategies.

The candidate will report to the Head of Distribution, bring deep insurance market knowledge, and possess strong communication and stakeholder-management skills to navigate complex risk and underwriting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of global and Benelux insurance markets.
• Extensive experience managing client and broker relationships.
• Strong understanding of underwriting and risk management.
• Proven sales, negotiation and senior stakeholder skills.
• Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, results-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic client and broker relationships across Benelux Strategic Accounts.
• Act as client and broker advocate, ensuring needs are understood and delivered.
• Drive profitable growth and retention with new business, renewals, and cross-selling.
• Own portfolio performance against retention, premium growth, and profitability targets.
• Coordinate underwriting, claims, and middle office for multi-line solutions.
• Use market insights to shape solutions and improve client experience.
