Job summary

Leonardo Hotels is seeking a Reservations Trainee to serve as the first point of contact for guests via phone, email, or messaging. You will manage the entire booking process from inquiry to arrival, including quotations, cancellations, and modifications, while ensuring smooth payment handling and clear communication.

The role operates in the Reservations department with significant responsibility, across multiple hotels, primarily at the Support Office in Amsterdam Rembrandtpark in a 50/50

Job description

As a Reservations Trainee, you are the first point of contact for guests who reach out via phone, email, or messaging. You are responsible for the entire process from the moment a guest makes a reservation or submits a request to book, all the way until the guest arrives at the hotel.

You handle various administrative tasks such as preparing quotations, processing cancellations or modifications, and managing complaints. Attention to detail is important—you carefully check payments and ensure smooth, clear communication with guests.

Within the Reservations department, you will be given a lot of responsibility and will be expected to switch quickly between tasks. Because you work for several hotels, you’ll experience plenty of variety and challenge. Your main workplace is the Support Office at Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark, where the team works in a 50/50 hybrid model (office / remote).

Sales, Marketing, Revenue, Finance, and Human Resources are all centralized and work across all hotels in the Benelux.

A fixed workplace? Not here! Team members regularly visit different hotels and occasionally work at the Support Office located at Leonardo Hotel Amsterdam Rembrandtpark. No day looks the same, making the work varied and exciting!

WHAT MAKES YOU THE PERFECT CANDIDATE?

• You have at least 1 year of experience in the hotel industry.
• You have at least an MBO level of thinking and working.
• You have a commercial mindset and are guest‑oriented.
• You are outspoken and not afraid to take initiative.
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

We use variable payment periods of 4 or 5 weeks at a time, depending on the number of days worked and hours worked. So one month you get a little less and the next month a little more.
