Job summary

Software Search is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design and deliver Azure-based data platforms and ETL pipelines. You will work across Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and PySpark to transform raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets while maintaining data quality and security.

The role requires Dutch language skills and a preference for hybrid work within the Zwolle region in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

Proven commercial experience as an Azure/Data engineer or equivalent in a consultancy
Hands-on with Azure data services, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics
Experience building ETL pipelines, PySpark, and data validation
Familiar with CI/CD, Git, cloud security, and scalable engineering practices
Dutch language fluency and willingness to commute to Zwolle/Overijssel region

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimise Azure-based data pipelines and ETL workflows.
Develop scalable cloud data platforms using Azure, Databricks, Synapse Analytics.
Work with PySpark, data modelling, data transformation, and validation processes.
Improve data quality and reporting accuracy with robust checks and clean pipeline design.
Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
Collaborate with client teams to translate data requirements into practical solutions.
Contribute to cloud infrastructure optimisation and secure data platforms.
