Job summary

Software Search is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design and deliver Azure-based data platforms and ETL pipelines. You will work across Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and PySpark to transform raw data into reliable, business-ready datasets while maintaining data quality and security.

The role requires Dutch language skills and a preference for hybrid work within the Zwolle region in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• Proven commercial experience as an Azure/Data engineer or equivalent in a consultancy
• Hands-on with Azure data services, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics
• Experience building ETL pipelines, PySpark, and data validation
• Familiar with CI/CD, Git, cloud security, and scalable engineering practices
• Dutch language fluency and willingness to commute to Zwolle/Overijssel region

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise Azure-based data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Develop scalable cloud data platforms using Azure, Databricks, Synapse Analytics.
• Work with PySpark, data modelling, data transformation, and validation processes.
• Improve data quality and reporting accuracy with robust checks and clean pipeline design.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, version control, and modern software delivery practices.
• Collaborate with client teams to translate data requirements into practical solutions.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure optimisation and secure data platforms.
