Job summary

RIEDEL Communications is seeking an AV Rental & Broadcast Technician (m/f/d) to join our Managed Technology division. You will inspect, maintain, test and prepare rental equipment and technical systems, assemble and configure communication, broadcast, audio and video systems according to project requirements, and prepare outgoing packages for future projects.

• Technical education or demonstrable affinity with AV, broadcast, media technology, or related fields.
• Independent, structured and detail-oriented working style.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain oversight in dynamic environments.
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to perform physical work in a warehouse/workshop.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with project/production teams.
• Flexibility to occasionally work on-site and outside standard hours when productions require it.
• Desirable: Experience with broadcast, intercom, networking, RF, audio or event tech systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, test and prepare rental equipment and technical systems for deployment.
• Assemble, configure and customize communication, broadcast, audio and video systems per project requirements.
• Prepare complete outgoing equipment packages and process returned materials for future projects.
• Coordinate with project managers and technical teams on equipment needs, specs and schedules.
• Identify damaged, missing or maintenance-critical equipment and initiate corrective actions.
• Occasionally take responsibility for on-site technical operations during productions and events.
• Support setup, execution and dismantling of high-profile sports, broadcast and live event productions.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You inspect, maintain, test, and prepare rental equipment and technical systems to ensure they are fully operational and ready for deployment.
• You assemble, configure, and customize communication, broadcast, audio, and video systems according to project requirements.
• You prepare complete outgoing equipment packages and process returned material efficiently, ensuring all assets are ready for future projects.
• You coordinate closely with project managers and technical teams regarding equipment requirements, technical specifications, and project schedules.
• You proactively identify damaged, missing, or maintenance-critical equipment and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• You occasionally take responsibility for technical operations on-site and act as a technical point of contact during productions and events.
• You support the setup, execution, and dismantling of high-profile sports, broadcast, and live event productions.
