Job summary

RIEDEL Communications in Hilversum, Netherlands, is seeking an AV Rental & Broadcast Technician. You will inspect, assemble, configure, and prepare rental equipment and systems for live events, ensuring everything is fully operational and ready for deployment.

You will collaborate with project managers and technical teams, handling equipment requirements, schedules, and on-site support. The role requires hands-on work in a warehouse/workshop environment and occasional after-hours availability.

Qualifications

• Technical education or demonstrable affinity with AV, broadcast, media technology, communication systems, or related fields
• Independent, structured, and detail-oriented working style
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain oversight in dynamic environments
• Hands-on mentality and willingness to perform physical work in a warehouse and workshop
• Good communication skills and enjoyment of collaborating with project and production teams
• Flexibility to occasionally work on-site and outside standard working hours when productions require it
• Desirable: Experience with broadcast, intercom, networking, RF, audio, or event technology systems

Responsibilities

• You inspect, maintain, test, and prepare rental equipment and technical systems to ensure they are fully operational and ready for deployment
• You assemble, configure, and customize communication, broadcast, audio, and video systems according to project requirements
• You prepare complete outgoing equipment packages and process returned material efficiently, ensuring all assets are ready for future projects
• You coordinate closely with project managers and technical teams regarding equipment requirements, technical specifications, and project schedules
• You proactively identify damaged, missing, or maintenance-critical equipment and initiate appropriate corrective actions
• You occasionally take responsibility for technical operations on-site and act as a technical point of contact during productions and events
• You support the setup, execution, and dismantling of high-profile sports, broadcast, and live event productions

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
