Job summary

Rentman is seeking a German-speaking AV Industry Expert to join our Professional Services team. You will design and deliver paid trainings, both one-to-one and in groups, to maximize customer value and product adoption.

Your role includes creating video trainings and presenting at events in German-speaking markets, while maintaining strong internal processes and knowledge of Rentman’s platform. The position requires native or fluent German, fluency in English, and experience in AV/event rental.

• Ownership of pipeline and numbers and clear internal communication.
• Hybrid role based in Utrecht with strong training administration skills.

Mission of this role

The Netherlands is Rentman's biggest customer base, and DACH is our second-biggest. As a Rentman AV Industry Expert (German-speaking) on our Professional Services team, you make sure our German-speaking customers get the same excellent, hands‑on support as everyone else.

You are the solution expert who helps customers realize the full value of Rentman. You deliver paid trainings to existing customers that accelerate onboarding, boost account health, and broaden usage across teams. Everything comes from our standardized service catalogue: the offering is standard, the application is tailored to each customer. These services come on top of what every Rentman customer already gets free of charge: support, the support center, and for some a dedicated CSM.

When you're not delivering customer trainings, you help the wider team stay useful year-round: you build standardized video trainings based on the most common questions coming out of our support center, and you're available to represent Rentman at customer events or trade shows in German‑speaking markets.

What you'll do

• Integrate Rentman knowledge with customer‑centricity and commercial acumen to provide tailored training, in both German and English, that enhances customer usage, satisfaction, and professional services revenue.

• Deliver at least 60% of your time as direct, standardized‑but‑tailored training to customers, one‑on‑one or in groups.

• When you're not training customers, build standardized video trainings/webinars addressing the most common issues raised through our support center.

• Represent Rentman at customer‑facing events or trade shows in German‑speaking markets when needed.

• Always look for opportunities to expand and optimize our professional services and serve more customers in a standardized way.

• Maintain top-level knowledge of Rentman’s functionality and industry challenges to advise customers effectively, and keep this knowledge current.

• Excel in administration and process efficiency to ensure internal processes (availability, booking, invoicing) run smoothly, and the customer journey is frictionless.

• Adopt a customer‑friendly attitude and deliver high‑quality training to ensure an optimal customer experience.

What we are looking for

• Native or very fluent in German, and fluent in English. You're equally comfortable running a training in either language.

• You’ve worked inside the AV, production company, or event rental industry and know its workflows from the inside. This is what lets you speak credibly to customers about how they run their business, not just how the software works.

• You're curious about how customers actually get their work done and where the tool could serve them better.

• You take ownership of your pipeline and your numbers.

• You communicate clearly, both with customers and internally.

• You keep your training administration, scheduling, and invoicing organized so the customer journey stays frictionless.

• You can join us in the Utrecht office as this is a hybrid role.

Nice to haves

• Experience training or onboarding customers on a SaaS platform.

• Familiarity with Rentman or similar equipment rental or event management software.

• Exposure to more than one segment, such as dry hire, staging, broadcast, or corporate AV.

• An existing network in the German/DACH AV and event industry.
