Job summary

AKQA Amsterdam seeks an Associate Design Director to shape brands into digital experiences with strong UI and craft. You’ll translate identity into interfaces and systems, work hands-on in Figma, and lead multidisciplinary teams to raised craft while mentoring peers.

You're fluent in UX and human-centered design, building scalable design systems and leveraging AI to push the craft further.

Qualifications

• Lead the digital craft across products, services and experiences.
• Shape the experience by turning brand and human needs into useful, distinctive experiences.
• Translate brand identity into interfaces, interactions, motion, and systems.
• Design hands-on in Figma and prototyping tools to test ideas.
• Maintain UX and human-centered design across journeys with experience designers.
• Develop scalable brand-led design systems using tokens and AI.
• Explore AI and emerging tech to enhance work.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams toward a shared vision.
• Uphold design quality and mentor junior designers.
