DEPT® in the Netherlands seeks an Associate Design Director to shape craft direction and elevate design excellence across complex projects.

You will mentor teams, influence senior stakeholders, and steer strategic design decisions while delivering compelling visual experiences for clients like Gant and Just Eat Takeaway.

This hybrid role combines studio leadership with hands-on design, requiring fluency in English, mastery of Figma and design systems, and a proactive, mentorship‑minded approach.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in visual/UI/UX design with leadership experience.
• Strong craft portfolio showing strategic impact and complex digital systems.
• Strategic thinker who influences product, design and business decisions.
• Mentorship mindset with coaching and knowledge sharing.
• Fluency in English; proficient with design systems and Figma.

Responsabilités

• Own craft direction across complex projects and accounts, aligned with DEPT® standards.
• Define standards, sharpen processes, and enable teams to deliver exceptional work.
• Guide clients and internal teams with high‑level creative and product direction.
• Drive innovation through experimentation and curiosity to set benchmarks.
• Shape the future of the design practice by evolving craft vision and capabilities.
• Support pitches with strong creative POVs linking craft to business impact.
• Represent DEPT® externally through talks, posts and publications.
