Job summary

AKQA Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Art Director to own ideas and the worlds they create, from first thought through final expression. You will establish the creative approach, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive complex briefs with a distinct point of view.

You’ll push the craft forward across storytelling, identities, services and experiences, using Figma, Adobe and Google Workspace, with AI integrated to explore and prototype ideas.

Qualifications

• Strong conceptual thinker with ability to derive ideas from briefs.
• Ability to drive ideas from concept to final execution.
• Capability to shape ideas across stories, identities, services and experiences.
• Maintain high craft standards in art direction and design.

Responsibilities

• Own the idea from brief to final execution and protect its core strengths.
• Find compelling and unexpected ways into complex problems beyond the brief.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams around a strong idea with clarity.
• Direct photographers, directors, designers and illustrators to elevate the concept.
• Present creative thinking with clarity and conviction to clients and teams.
