Job summary

DECIEM's AVESTAN store in Amsterdam is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who can lead with heart, deliver unforgettable customer experiences, and help launch a new brand space.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to coach staff, meet KPIs, supervise operations, scheduling, and inventory, and ensure the AVESTAN experience shines. This full-time role offers a chance to build a premium team in a luxury fragrance setting, guiding guest interactions and brand storytelling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in retail or customer service with supervisory experience.
• Experience in luxury, fragrance, or premium retail preferred.
• Ability to coach and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading and supervising store staff across sales, operations, merchandising, and customer experience.
• Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve and exceed KPIs and sales targets.
• Assist with daily and monthly sales reporting and revenue tracking.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members in partnership with Recruitment and leadership teams.
• Conduct team briefings, contribute to 1:1s and performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Support employee relations matters and help foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
• Assist with store scheduling, payroll adjustments, attendance systems, and PTO management.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations, including inventory management, POS systems, omnichannel services, and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, health & safety, and operational excellence across the store.
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences, support community partnerships and events, and help drive brand engagement.
• Act as the Manager on Duty when required.
