Job summary

New Balance in Amsterdam is seeking a store associate who can engage, educate and entertain customers from the moment they walk through the door. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations and drive sales through exceptional service and product knowledge.

You will lead by example, train teammates on NB technologies and seasonal products, manage scheduling, and help minimize losses. A passion for retail and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyse the store performance (bestsellers, space allocation) and adjust to increase productivity.
• Deliver total customer satisfaction via the service model and boost sales through customer experience.
• Train your team to reach or exceed customer expectations.
• Guide and train team members on products, NB technologies and seasonal items.
• Assist in coordinating rota and scheduling.
• Minimise losses by monitoring all loss prevention procedures.
• Support recruitment, induction, training, and development of the store team.
• Act as key holder and perform store duties including sales, service, stock control.
• Understand and support store operations, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by the business or Store Manager.

We need your passion and the desire to be a true brand ambassador as well as your genuine love for working with customers and supporting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations of the store.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Analyses the performance of the store (for example, bestsellers, space allocation, etc.) and makes the necessary adjustments to increase productivity and efficiency
• Delivers total customer satisfaction via our service model and boosts sales through the customer experience, using advanced sales techniques to achieve results
• Understanding customer expectations and training your team to always reach or exceed their expectations
• Guides and provides training to all team members in relation to products, NB technologies and seasonal products
• Assists in co‑ordinating rotaand scheduling
• Minimises losses implementing, monitoring, and tracking all procedures of loss prevention
• Supports the recruitment, induction, training, and development of the store team
• Key holder for the store andan active member on the shop floor and back of house carrying out retail duties - sales, customer service, stock control Dealing with enquiries and an escalation route for customer complaints
• Understanding and supporting store operations, policies and procedures via the retail game changer
• Adhere to company’s policies and procedures
• Perform other duties that as required from the business or Store Manager
