Job summary

The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) invites applications for an Assistant Professor in fluid dynamics and flowing matter. The research unit Fluids and Flows within the Department of Applied Physics and Science Education (APSE) focuses on both fundamental and applied aspects of flow phenomena using experimental, computational, and theoretical methods.

The successful candidate will develop an independent research program, contribute to education, and build an internationally visible

Qualifications

• PhD in (Applied) Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
• At least two years of relevant research experience after the PhD as a postdoctoral researcher or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an independent research program within Fluids and Flows.
• Contribute to high‑quality education and curricular development in Applied Physics.
• Foster collaborations across disciplines and sectors within TU/e and beyond.
