Job summary

Eindhoven University of Technology invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Experimental Fluid Dynamics within the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry. The role focuses on developing advanced flow diagnostics for multiphase reactive flows and sustainable technologies.

The successful candidate will lead an externally funded program, supervise students, and contribute to teaching while collaborating across transport phenomena and related disciplines.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or closely related discipline.
• Strong record of scientific achievement with publications and grants.
• Ability to develop and lead externally funded research programs.
• Good teaching skills and enthusiasm for curriculum development.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead an independent experimental fluid dynamics research program.
• Supervise and mentor BSc/MSc/PhD students and postdocs.
• Publish in leading international journals and present at conferences.
• Secure external funding and build national/international collaborations.
• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development within the department.
