Job summary

IonOptix LLC is seeking an Applications Scientist/Account Specialist to work from Amsterdam, Netherlands, with up to 2 days remote per week. You will guide customers from pre-sales through installation and ongoing support, ensuring the right instruments meet experimental needs.

Travel to sites and conferences across Europe will be required. The role emphasizes building lab relationships, understanding physiology and cardiomyocyte applications, and translating research questions into actionable

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or hands‑on lab/instrumentation experience in physiology or cell biology.
• Willingness to travel 25% or more for site visits, installations, training, and conferences.
• Strong communication skills across diverse audiences, from students to PIs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-sales consultation with researchers to understand goals and recommend instrumentation.
• Post-sales training and ongoing technical support for instrument use and protocol optimization.
• Manage relationships across a defined territory and nurture opportunities.
• Represent IonOptix at scientific conferences and customer sites across Europe.
• Feedback field insights to marketing, support, and product development.
