Job summary

Resolvo Engineering B.V. is seeking an Application Specialist to translate customer needs into practical print applications for our digital presses. You will demonstrate capabilities, advise on best production methods, and support start-up and ramp-up across Europe.

The role is not a service engineer; you will focus on applications, substrates, workflows and colour management, with regular travel and customer-facing responsibilities. Fluency in English is required, German or French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial digital printing.
• Good understanding of print production and customer applications.
• Experience with colour management and print quality.
• Understanding of digital print workflows and workflow integration.
• Experience with substrates/media and their impact on print results.
• Ability to create and present convincing print demonstrations.
• Knowledge of UV inkjet is a strong advantage.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and production teams.
• Fluent in English; German or French is a strong plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Europe.

Job description

You don't fix the press. You make sure the customer gets the most out of it.

Our client is an international manufacturer of high-end digital printing presses for the print and packaging industry. Its digital printing business is growing rapidly, and we are looking for an Application Specialist who understands what it takes to turn printing technology into a successful production application.

This is not a Service Engineer role. You won't be responsible for repairing machines or troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures.

Instead, you are the person who understands how customers want to print, what the application requires, and how to make the press deliver the right result.

Your role

You are the application expert between the customer, Sales, Service and Product Management.

You demonstrate what the technology can do, translate customer requirements into practical print applications and help customers get their production up and running successfully.

What you'll do

You will regularly visit customers and company locations across Europe. Travel is an important part of the role, but your focus is always on the application and the customer not on repairing the machine.

You could also come from a production environment where you have developed strong expertise in digital printing applications.

Most importantly, you are an application person, not a machine engineer.

You don't need to be the person who knows every component inside the press. You need to understand what the customer wants to achieve and how to make the technology deliver it.
