Job summary

Manpower Netherlands is seeking a Technical Operator for the Digital department in a highly automated printing environment. You will operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the digital printing equipment, and participate in a comprehensive training program to develop from operator to advanced technician.

You will work four shifts in a full-time role, with a monthly gross salary between €3,000 and €4,000, and opportunities to grow into more senior positions within the company.

Qualifications

• MBO level 4 in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience operating industrial production or automated equipment.
• First line troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance experience.
• Willingness to complete supplier training and company certifications (NEN3140, VOP).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up and optimize highly automated digital printing equipment.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting and resolve mechanical issues.
• Execute preventive and proactive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Provide structured handovers with root causes and actions.

Job description

Your main responsibilities as Technical Operator within the Digital department? Operating, maintaining and continuously improving advanced printing systems! Using your technical expertise, you act as the first technical point of contact on the production line. In turn, you can expect a salary of up to €4,000 per month! You will follow an extensive training program, in which you will gradually develop from machine operation to advanced troubleshooting. Your responsibilities as Technical Operator Digital include:

• Operating, setting up and optimizing highly automated digital printing equipment
• Performing first line troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, process and machine related issues
• Executing preventive and proactive maintenance to maximize machine availability
• Supporting advanced troubleshooting using supplier documentation and structured diagnostic procedures
• Monitoring machine performance and identifying opportunities for process optimization
• Testing machine improvements, updates and technical modifications
• Verifying the quality and safety of maintenance activities performed on production equipment
• Providing structured technical handovers, including clear documentation of issues, root causes, actions taken and recommended follow-up
• Training and coaching operators on machine operation, adjustments and troubleshooting techniques
• Acting as the technical knowledge carrier within your production cell and supporting continuous knowledge transfer
• Collaborating closely with Production, Maintenance and Engineering to maximize uptime and production efficiency
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring customer delivery, product quality and operational safety remain the highest priorities

You will be working in the Digital department of one of Europe's most advanced and highly automated printing companies. Here you will find the site’s most complex printing technology. This department really requires operators who enjoy combining hands on production with technical problem solving. Any new operator will follow a training program, in which you will learn about machine operation, first line troubleshooting, technical machine knowledge, and advanced troubleshooting.

Working hours

In this full-time position you will be working in four shifts.

Your experience and education:

• At least an mbo level 4 education in a technical discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology or Graphic Technology, OR equivalent practical experience
• Experience operating industrial production or automated manufacturing equipment
• Experience with first line troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance
• Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in complex production technology
• Willingness to complete the full supplier training program and company certifications, including NEN3140, VOP and machine specific training
• Ability to work with technical documentation and structured troubleshooting procedures
• Willingness to work in a 4-shift rotation
• Good command of the English level, because you will be communicating in this language mainly

If you also have the following, be sure to let us know during the application process, as it is a plus:

• Experience within printing, packaging, paper converting or other high volume production environments
• Command of the Dutch, German, and/or Polish language
