Job summary

WorkFlex is seeking a Global Mobility Compliance Specialist to own the APAC region. You will translate tax, payroll, social security, and employment-law requirements into practical frameworks for our platform, and build a trusted network of local partners to enable fast, compliant assignments across APAC.

The role blends regulatory translation with relationship-building, requiring hands-on experience, strong analytical skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Global Mobility, APAC immigration/tax compliance, or international HR.
• Experience building and managing partnerships with external partners or vendors.
• Fluent English; Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, or Japanese a plus.
• Based centrally in APAC (Singapore or Kuala Lumpur preferred) with willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Translate APAC compliance requirements into practical frameworks and decision logic for WorkFlex's platform.
• Apply knowledge of APAC work authorization regimes across markets such as Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, China, Australia, and India.
• Map assignment-related compliance topics including social security, payroll/tax residency, and cross-border rules.
• Build and validate cost projections and balance-sheet approaches for APAC assignments.
• Build, vet, and manage a network of local partners—immigration lawyers, tax advisors, payroll providers, and EOR/PEO partners.
• Serve as the go-to APAC compliance expert for clients and internal teams and keep guidance current.
• Refine WorkFlex's global mobility processes based on regulatory updates and partner feedback.
