Job summary

Playhood is seeking an Event Management Intern to join our Amsterdam team. You’ll work 36 hours per week, collaborating with our event team to plan and execute a wide range of events—from birthdays to business meetings and community gatherings.

You will gain practical, hands-on experience in event planning, coordination with clients and suppliers, and day-to-day operations, with real responsibility from day one in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• You study Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing or a similar subject.
• You are organised and enjoy making things happen.
• You communicate confidently in Dutch and English.
• You are proactive and comfortable taking initiative.
• You stay calm when plans change.
• You enjoy working with people.
• You are curious, practical and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and coordination of different events.
• Communicate with clients and help identify their needs.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and contractors.
• Help organise catering, spaces, materials and other event details.
• Support event set-up and execution.
• Help ensure events run smoothly from start to finish.
• Support event administration and scheduling.
• Help the wider team with operational tasks when there are no events.
