DHL Global Forwarding in the Netherlands is seeking an Airfreight Pricing Expert to develop competitive pricing for air/sea freight and support strategic tenders. You will link Sales, Procurement, Operations and international stakeholders to optimize profitability and win new business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Several years of experience in airfreight pricing, tender management, and commercial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of airfreight forwarding and logistics industry.
• Proven experience managing RFQs and pricing challenges.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive competitive airfreight pricing from a country perspective by monitoring market developments.
• Provide pricing proposals and support revenue growth objectives.
• Support local and global tenders with pricing data and timely submissions.
• Analyze profitability, shipping profiles, and opportunities to guide pricing decisions.
• Monitor carrier rates, market trends, and competitor pricing for actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Carrier Management to improve pricing competitiveness.
• Maintain pricing data, tariffs, and surcharges across systems for consistency.
• Monitor pricing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Respond to spot quote requests with fast, competitive solutions.
• Structure RFQs and contribute to global tenders and pricing initiatives.

About The Role

As an Airfreight Pricing Expert, you will be responsible for developing competitive and profitable airfreight pricing solutions that support business growth and customer retention. Acting as a key link between Sales, Procurement, Operations, and international stakeholders, you will leverage market insights, commercial analysis, and pricing expertise to secure new business opportunities, optimize profitability, and strengthen DHL Global Forwarding's market position. Key Responsibilities

• Drive competitive airfreight pricing from a country perspective by staying ahead of market developments and industry trends.
• Provide competitive pricing solutions that support revenue growth and business development objectives.
• Support local and global tender activities by preparing pricing proposals, validating data accuracy, and ensuring timely submissions.
• Analyze customer profitability, shipping profiles, and commercial opportunities to support strategic pricing decisions.
• Monitor carrier rates, capacity developments, and competitor pricing, translating market intelligence into actionable recommendations.
• Work with Procurement and Carrier Management teams to understand cost structures and improve pricing competitiveness.
• Maintain accurate pricing data, tariffs, and surcharges within relevant systems and ensure consistency across platforms.
• Monitor pricing performance, including win rates, margins, and pricing compliance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support and respond to spot quote requests, ensuring fast turnaround times and commercially competitive solutions.
• Analyze, prioritize, and structure incoming RFQs (Requests for Quotation).
• Contribute independently to global tenders and strategic pricing initiatives.
• Conduct RFQ risk assessments and support risk-based decision-making at country level.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Service Delivery teams to develop customer-focused pricing solutions.

What We Are Looking For

You bring:

• A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant professional qualifications are considered an advantage.
• Several years of experience in airfreight pricing, tender management, and commercial analysis.
• Strong knowledge of the Airfreight forwarding and logistics industry.
• Proven experience managing RFQs and pricing challenges.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
