Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services, Inc. is seeking a Duty Manager in Amsterdam to oversee shift operations for import and export cargo.

You will lead the warehouse team, ensure safety, quality and timely handling, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve disruptions while maintaining performance. You will coach staff, ensure proper staffing, and train new employees toward becoming all-round operational staff.

Qualifications

• MBO level 4 or HBO working and thinking level.
• Demonstrable leadership experience in logistics or air cargo.
• Knowledge of logistical and administrative handling processes.
• Strong operational insight and decisiveness.
• A safety- and quality-focused mindset.
• Good communication skills.
• Good command of Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations for import/export cargo, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.
• Lead and coach the warehouse team, manage staffing and shift handovers.
• Coordinate with planning, airside operations, security, airlines, forwarders and customs.
• Intervene promptly during disruptions and maintain plan adherence.
• Drive process improvements and maintain compliance with procedures.
