Job summary

Otherside at Work is seeking an experienced VP Engineering to design and scale an Engineering organization that blends speed, quality and predictability. You will lead modernization efforts, embed AI-native practices, and align technology with business growth as part of the Management Team.

You will also shape platform architecture, security, and DevOps to enable international scale. You will collaborate closely with Product and the CTO to translate ambitious product plans into concrete

Qualifications

• Led and scaled a multi-team Engineering organization in a B2B or enterprise SaaS environment.
• Experience leading Engineering Managers or comparable Engineering leaders.
• Strong track record in organizational scaling, platform modernization and technical transformation.
• Clear vision on AI-native software development and applying AI to improve engineering productivity, quality and speed.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS architecture, cloud, DevOps/SRE, platform engineering, security and software lifecycle management.
• Ability to connect technology and Engineering decisions to customer value, business growth, cost and risk.
• Strategic MT-level perspective with enough technical depth to challenge and guide Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build a high-performing Engineering organization with clear ownership and strong leadership across teams.
• Increase predictability and speed by improving transparency around capacity, priorities and dependencies.
• Lead the move towards AI-native Engineering, embedding AI and automation across the lifecycle.
• Drive modernization while balancing technical debt, scalability, security and reliability of the SaaS platform.
• Strengthen Engineering excellence: DX, DevOps/SRE, observability, security, privacy and operational resilience.
• Shape company strategy as a Management Team member, translating product and business ambitions into Engineering capabilities.
