Suitsupply in Amsterdam seeks a Principal Engineer to design, build, and ship at the highest level. You will set engineering standards across domains, own cross-cutting backlogs, and drive AI-native development while splitting time between team acceleration and setting company-wide standards.

You will work hands-on, pair with Tech Leads, and embed within teams to raise the bar, ensuring automated checks and guardrails scale. Hybrid work model with leadership influence across engineering.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of engineering with staff- or principal-level scope at a strong product or tech company.
• Technical responsibility across at least three domains.
• Hands-on across the stack and shipping code weekly in at least one domain.
• Able to make standards stick through tooling and guardrails.

Aufgaben

• Set the cross-cutting standards backlog for domains: observability, monitoring, alerting, release processes, CI/CD templates.
• Design, prototype and build on hard cross-team problems: migrations, integrations, foundations.
• Parachute into projects to accelerate delivery and shape the solution with teams.
• Work inside teams to raise the bar, pairing with Tech Leads and Engineering Managers.
• Enforce standards via systems like per-repo skills, PR guardrails, automated checks.
• Drive AI-native development as the default way of working with Engineering Managers.
• Step into teams without a Tech Lead to maintain delivery and quality.
• Partner with Engineering Leadership on domain architecture; set the standard.
