Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Product Design Engineer based in the Netherlands. You’ll blend product design and front-end engineering to take ideas from early exploration through to production, shaping what’s worth building and prototyping rapidly.

Working in a product squad, you’ll own the experience and interface, collaborate with software engineers, and design human-centered AI-native supervisory interfaces.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and building front-end products through to production, with ownership of both the experience and implementation.
• Strong design judgment and visual/product taste, distinguishing excellent experiences from merely functional interfaces.
• Strong product instinct and ability to challenge assumptions, validate ideas with real users.
• Fluency in modern web development and front-end engineering practices.
• Demonstrated experience using AI tooling across multiple stages of product development.
• Strong understanding of AI limitations and failure modes.

Responsibilities

• Explore product opportunities through user research, experimentation, prototyping, and iterative design to identify the strongest solutions.
• Carry product concepts through to production-ready front-end experiences, combining design decisions and implementation within the same workflow.
• Help define what is worth building by engaging with users, challenging assumptions, validating problems, and shaping scope with the product squad.
• Design and build intuitive supervisory interfaces for AI-native workflows, including triage queues and decision-support experiences.
• Use AI tools throughout the product development lifecycle, including research, design, prototyping, development, and testing.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to ensure the final experience works with the underlying architecture.
• Take ownership of front-end quality, including performance, accessibility, and cross-device compatibility.
• Continuously iterate on products based on user feedback and real-world usage.
• Deliver polished, production-ready experiences that balance usability and technical feasibility.
