Job summary

ORdigiNAL is building a connector platform that brings ambient clinical AI into EHRs. You will be our first dedicated engineering hire, expanding the EHR connector family across vendors, regions, and integration technologies. This is a hands-on role with scope to grow the product as the team guides direction.

You will work with AI-native tooling to direct agents, ensure quality, and ship rapidly. Remote within Europe with CET overlap and quarterly in-person team days in the Netherlands.

Qualifications

• 1-2+ years building real applications and working with APIs.
• Demonstrated AI-assisted development practice.
• Strong on OAuth2/OIDC, REST API design, and webhook / event-driven patterns.
• Privacy-by-design instincts and GDPR awareness.
• Self-directed, comfortable owning a feature or connector end to end in a small, senior team.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship connectors for new EHR platforms across integration types: SMART on FHIR, FHIR R4 REST, HL7 v2.x, CDA/CCD, and vendor APIs.
• Extend multi-EHR writer abstraction so that each new EMR is a thin adapter plus configuration, not a rewrite.
• Own integration quality end to end: encounter binding, idempotent writes, webhook reliability, error recovery, and graceful behaviour when the EHR misbehaves.
• Document each integration pattern so the next EMR ships faster than the last.
