Qualifications

Overview

Senior Manufacturing Engineer Assembly at GKN Fokker (Papendrecht, the Netherlands). Be a vital part of the Assembly team, ensuring the smooth production of parts for landing gear components. Your work will contribute to the safety of aircraft in service.

Responsibilities

• Supporting operational deliveries by preparing and managing product documentation.
• Improving processes by analyzing production characteristics.
• Resolving and managing non-conformities and defining temporary production instructions.
• Driving continuous improvement through Lean initiatives.
• Developing and integrating technical solutions while upholding a safety-first mindset.
• Overseeing the development of first articles, configuration changes, and build processes.
• Utilizing root cause analysis to eliminate non-conformances.
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Aerospace
• 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably with aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience in machining processes and in managing (new) Product / Process introduction (industrialization) and existing production process improvements
• Experience with low-volume production of high-quality aerospace manufacturing processes

Terms and Conditions

• Secondment at GKN Fokker Aerospace BV via Yacht for 1 year, with possibility of extension and a permanent contract after the first year
• Competitive salary between €4,800 and €6,200 per month based on 40 h per week
• Full-time (40 h per week preferred; 32–36 h per week is negotiable)
• Start date: October 2025
