Job summary

DHL Express in Maastricht is seeking an Accounts Payable Agent to join the eCommerce Accounts Payable team. You will handle processing and payment of incoming 3rd‑party invoices for DHL eCommerce Benelux, ensuring accuracy and timely settlements.

We value strong communication, MS Excel proficiency, and prior AP experience. The role is based on-site in Maastricht with opportunities for training and personal development.

Qualifications

• MBO level (economic/financial) with administrative accounting experience.
• Excellent communication and strong soft skills.
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• ERP system knowledge: Oracle, SAP, Basware.
• Experience with Accounts Payable processes and systems preferred.
• Fluent in Dutch with good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Process and code incoming invoices and prepare payment batches.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries and recodes.
• Perform month-end closing, reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain strong relationships with business partners and vendors.
• Support and improve AP processes and controls.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Agent to join the DHL eCommerce Accounts Payable team.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

The eCommerce Accounting team in Maastricht is young, dynamic, and enthusiastic. They are responsible for the accounting of four entities within eCommerce Benelux. As an Accounts Payable Agent, you handle the processing and payment of all incoming 3rd‑party invoices for DHL eCommerce Benelux.

Key tasks:

• Processing and coding incoming invoices
• Investigating queries regarding processed invoices
• Processing recodes and providing follow‑up
• Performing month‑end closing, reporting, and account reconciliations
• Preparing and processing payment batches
• Ensuring a positive relationship with business partners
• Investigating bottlenecks in the process

Do you have what it takes?

• MBO level (economic/financial), with administrative experience in an accounting environment
• Excellent communication and strong soft skills
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel
• ERP system knowledge (Oracle, SAP, Basware)
• Experience with Accounts Payable processes and systems is preferred
• You are fluent in Dutch and have good command of English
