Job summary

Sire Search is seeking an experienced Absence Management Case Manager to support employees through sickness absence and return-to-work journeys while ensuring compliance with the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act. You will coordinate cases from day one and collaborate with occupational health professionals to translate medical advice into practical reintegration plans.

Qualifications

• HBO (Bachelor's) level education or equivalent.
• Valid registration as a Certified Case Manager (CROV or RCCM/RCMC).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in absence management.
• Strong knowledge of the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet Verbetering Poortwachter).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Manage sickness absence cases from day one through reintegration.
• Ensure compliance with Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and related legislation.
• Serve as primary contact for employees, managers, and plant managers on absence and reintegration.
• Conduct regular absence review meetings with stakeholders.
• Translate physician recommendations into actionable reintegration plans.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers throughout the process.
• Coordinate and support applications for IVA and WIA benefits.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and administration.
• Identify opportunities to improve absence management processes and contribute to projects.
• Advise on absence prevention and wellbeing practices.
• Travel regularly to sites across the Eastern Netherlands region.
