Job summary

Sire Search is seeking an Absence Management Specialist to guide employees through absence and reintegration from first day of absence to return to work, in line with Wet Verbetering Poortwachter.

You will coordinate with employees, managers and site leadership, translate occupational health advice into practical actions, and support absence prevention and related projects across manufacturing and office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree / HBO level required or equivalent professional experience.
• Certified Registered Case Manager (e.g., CROV, RCCM, or RCMC) is required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in absence management and reintegration.
• Strong knowledge of Wet Verbetering Poortwachter (Gatekeeper Improvement Act).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Accurate, pragmatic, and structured approach.
• Experience working within a large or international organisation.
• Ability to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Manage absence cases from first day of absence through reintegration and return to work.
• Ensure compliance with Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and internal procedures.
• Act as central contact for employees, managers and site leadership on absence matters.
• Conduct regular absence and reintegration discussions.
• Translate occupational health advice into practical actions.
• Support employees and managers throughout the absence process.
• Coordinate applications related to WIA and IVA benefits.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and timely follow-up.
• Provide input on absence management and prevention.
• Contribute to improvement projects related to wellbeing and absence processes.
