A leading recruiting agency in Malaysia is seeking a Brand Controller for a 3-month contract. This role involves analyzing business profitability, preparing financial reports, and ensuring accuracy in budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate must have a degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 5 years of experience in finance with excellent Excel and SAP skills. Strong communication and analytical abilities are essential for this position.

- Prepare monthly financial reporting and execute in-depth variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Manage the planning cycle including rolling forecast and annual budget.
- Control the expenses of the market, including variable and fixed commercial means.

The Brand Controller will be an integral part of the finance department and report to the Head of Consolidation & Brand Controlling.
The key responsibilities of the Brand Controller are to provide meaningful and valuable analysis and recommendation to the finance department and business department for business decision making, to improve the profitability & ensure business continuity.
The Brand Controller will ensure high quality of internal financial reports and management documents, such as monthly reporting, Annual Rolling Forecast, Annual Budgeting, forecast and provide ad hoc analysis for the business department.
The Brand Controller will evaluate accruals and daily control all expenses of the business department, such as variable and fixed commercial means, warranty, overhead etc. to ensure the actual performance to be in line with the annual target.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build up analysis tool and management reporting tool.
- Measure the business profitability and stock value, against budget and forecast, analyse result and explain the variance.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting and execute in depth variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Prepare monthly accruals and ensure their accuracy.
- Manage the planning cycle including rolling forecast, annual budget according to market business assumptions.
- Set up and implement the budget authorization process, daily follow and control the expenses of market, such as variable and fixed commercial means, warranty, overheads, etc.
- Profitability data maintenance and analysis and suggest prompt action plan.
- Execute value-added analysis and provide decision support for special projects and initiatives.
Person Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance/ Accounting or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years experiences in Finance function specialising in analysis , reporting and controlling.
- Excellent Excel, Powerpoint, SAP skills with analytical mindset and a can do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English speaking & writing.
- Ability to work independently, multi-tasking, agile and a team player.
