A financial services company in Kuala Lumpur seeks a compliance officer to instill a culture of compliance within the organization. The role includes ensuring adherence to laws, supporting training programs, monitoring transactions, and conducting due diligence. Candidates should be capable of compiling customer lists and analyzing transactional data for anti-money laundering purposes. This position offers an opportunity to significantly contribute to compliance efforts within the company.
Support the Compliance Section in instilling a ‘compliance aware’ culture within the company.
Assist in ensuring Company’s compliance with the laws, rules and regulations set by statutory and regulatory bodies.
Support in monitoring the implementation of the Company’s compliance requirement.
Support in reviewing the Company’s documents (policies/procedures) inclusive of documents related to BNM’s regulated products.
Assist in Implementation of compliance training program.
Support compliance of Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT).
Perform On Going Due Diligence and Transactions monitoring.
Capable of compiling and maintaining an updated monthly list of all existing and newly onboarded customers.
Responsible for supporting and conducting periodic name screenings of existing customers.
Support the Designated Compliance Officer at the various departments on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism matters.
Conduct independent research and analyze data on transaction alerts within the stipulated timeline to detect Money Laundering/ Terrorist Financing (“ML/TF”) activities.
