The Regional Risk Policy team is a small but collaborative team responsible for managing payments related risk and fraud risk. We optimise risk actions and processes to minimise losses without compromising on business growth. If you are interested in risk management, then you should join our team!

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for someone who combines risk acumen with data fluency—comfortable deep-diving into data, building clear analyses and dashboards, and turning findings into effective policies and controls. We believe a successful candidate is insightful and ; if you believe you have what it takes then we'd love to hear from you.

You will report to the Lead Risk Policy Manager, Merchants and work onsite at Grab office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Be a risk policy subject matter expert across the domains of payment / merchant fraud; advise and partner with cross‑functional teams on risk principles and guardrails.
  • Shape and evolve regional risk strategies and control frameworks that balance fraud reduction, user experience, and growth; partner with stakeholders to operationalize them.
  • Leverage data analytics to surface trends, quantify trade‑offs, and measure impact; champion automation to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct risk reviews for new products, features, and markets; define clear guardrails and success metrics.
  • Manage continuous improvements in main risk metrics; report facts to senior and executive management in a clear, concise, and data-driven manner.
  • Lead complex issue management and continuous improvement; stay ahead of evolving fraud/scam typologies and translate insights into preventive controls and targeted education.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in FinTech, payments, e-commerce, strategy consulting, analytics, or operations.
  • Good Data analytics skills with proficiency in SQL, ability to work with large datasets, build clear dashboards (e.g., PowerBI or Superset), and translate insights into applicable recommendations, with comfort using AI tools to accelerate analysis and documentation.
  • Solid fraud and risk domain knowledge with hands-on exposure to payments or e-commerce fraud, merchant risk, and risk policy development or enforcement.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to operationalize policies and automate controls, monitoring, and reporting.
