About the Role

We are expanding our technical team and seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician - Fire Protection System to contribute to our commitment to safety. This hands-on role is crucial for the effective installation, maintenance, and repair of various fire protection systems. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards.

Job Responsibility

• Perform installation of fire protection systems, including fire sprinklers, fire hydrants, fire hose reels, and fire suppression systems according to relevant codes and standards.
• Conduct routine maintenance, testing, and inspection of fire protection systems to ensure operational readiness.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions in fire protection systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Document all installation, maintenance, testing, and repair activities accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project completion within timelines and specifications.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures while performing tasks.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of their fire protection systems.
• Assist in site surveys and assessments to determine system requirements and identify potential issues.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and technologies related to fire protection systems.
• Perform other technical duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Vocational Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a Fire Protection Technician or in a similar technical role within the fire safety industry.
• Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with relevant Malaysian fire safety standards and regulations (e.g., Bomba requirements). Possession of relevant certifications or licenses related to fire protection systems is a significant advantage.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical qualifications and a strong interest in fire protection are encouraged to apply.
