Job summary

IBIDEN Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee and execute corrective maintenance, ensuring prompt resolution of equipment breakdowns.

You will conduct root cause analyses, implement CAPA, and design engineering improvements to elevate reliability and operational performance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will manage budgets, schedules and resources, and uphold safety, PTW and HIRARC compliance while documenting all activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or industrial engineering.
• 2-3 years hands-on experience in plant maintenance or industrial engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute corrective maintenance, ensuring resolution of equipment breakdowns.
• Conduct root cause analysis for failures and implement CAPA.
• Design and implement engineering improvement projects to elevate equipment reliability and operational performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to minimize downtime during maintenance or installation activities.
• Supervise internal teams and external contractors, ensuring safety protocols and technical specifications.
• Strategically plan and manage budgets, schedules and resources for maintenance and project initiatives.
• Uphold safety procedures and regulatory compliance including PTW and HIRARC.
• Maintain meticulous documentation for breakdown reports, purchase orders, maintenance records and project files.
• Champion or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost efficiency, energy savings, and safety enhancements.

Design and implement engineering improvement and modification projects to elevate equipment reliability and operational performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional departments to minimize downtime and operational disruption during maintenance or installation activities.

Supervise both internal teams and external contractors, ensuring all maintenance work adheres to safety protocols and technical specifications.

Strategically plan and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for all maintenance and project initiatives.

Uphold stringent safety procedures and regulatory compliance, including Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) throughout all maintenance operations.

Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation for breakdown reports, purchase orders, maintenance records, and project files.

Champion or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, cost efficiency, energy savings, and safety enhancements.

Qualification

1) Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering
