Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking personnel to operate and monitor the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/IETS) and perform regular water sampling, laboratory analyses, and routine maintenance. The role includes chemical dosing, inventory management, and compliance reporting to the DOE.

You will assist in sludge handling and maintain high housekeeping standards at the plant. Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Environmental Engineering or related science is required, with emphasis on safety and accurate

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/IETS) for efficient performance.
• Conduct regular water sampling and laboratory analysis (pH, COD, BOD, TSS, etc.).
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on pumps, blowers, agitators, and screw presses.
• Handle chemical dosing, preparation, and inventory control.
• Maintain daily Performance Monitoring Records and assist in submitting monthly reports for the Department of Environment (DOE).
• Assist the Competent Person in managing scheduled waste (e.g., sludge handling) including sludge handling, labeling, storage, and inventory record.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards at the Waste Water Treatment plant.

Daily Operations: Operate and monitor the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/IETS) to ensure efficient performance.

Sampling & Testing: Conduct regular water sampling and laboratory analysis (pH, COD, BOD, TSS, etc.) to monitor effluent quality.

Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on equipment such as pumps, blowers, agitators, and screw pressed etc.

Chemical Management: Handle chemical dosing, preparation, and inventory count.

Compliance & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily Performance Monitoring Records. Assist in submit monthly reports for the Department of Environment (DOE).

Scheduled Waste: Assist the Competent Person in managing scheduled waste (e.g., sludge handling) including sludge handling, labelling, storage, and inventory record .

Housekeeping: Maintain high standards of Waste Water Treatment plant housekeeping
